Tanzini @ Level 28, G Tower

I always wanted to do something special and nice for my fiance birthday. Even though both of us don't really like to go to downtown KL due to the jam, but for this special occasion it will be exception.

I'd chosen Tanzini due to 1. location, having the view of KL city lights and 2. ambient and food

There is a set dinner menu to be chosen and we had chose the RM188++ 5-course dinner.

Started of with a entré salad and it comes with fresh crab meat
Next, we was then serve with a soup
The 3rd course is a pan seared scallop which is one of my favorite
Before we were serve for the main course, they actually serve us lime sorbet just to clear of our taste bud after having the entré, soup and appetizer
I'd chosen a tenderloin with foie gras which is also one of my favorite that I can't resist to not to choose it when it's part of the set dinner

Eddy had chose the angel hair with lobster
I had made a request to the chef that I would like our dessert which include in the set dinner to have a message of "Happy Birthday" and it really turns out good and the dessert was good too especially their macaroon!

We also ordered a coffee separately to go along with the dessert but the coffee taste is too bitter which I don't really appreciate it.
After all we really enjoy our dinner with the ambient and good food and also with the reasonable price for a fine dining course.

Bistro à Table @ Section 17, PJ

Celebrated my birthday on a day earlier which is on 28th July. Kick off with a dinner at Bistro à Table at Sec 17 PJ. Actually I notice about Bistro à Table when I checked in to Decanter via foursquare quite sometime ago. But didn't even bother to check it out till Mike Lee highly recommend it. They change menu frequently.

Their interior is somehow interesting with dangling bulbs and decor. They open for events and functions bookings as well but this venue can only maximum holds up to 50pax for proper dining.

Their menu is unique and interesting as they do change menu weekly and it's a female chef. My fiancé is checking out their wine list and thinking of getting drunk lol

We was then served with a super soft baguette! love it so much and accompanied by the butter is just heavenly...

Start with a entrée Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum RM30

(Signature coddled maple syrup egg with Fleur de sel, crouton dust & asparagus and with its alter ego counterpart)

We was told to pour the tweedle dee on the shot glass and mix with the crouton dust, and it was really good!

We had another entrée of Gruyere souffle with Moreton Bay bug RM42 and it's my first time trying a souffle, it was soft.

Once we are done with the entrée, the chef then prepare our mains and I had the Australian lamb rack with polenta cake & candied citrus RM120
- the polenta cake with candied citrus is a good combination... yummy!
Eddy had a Rabbit & Bordeaux stew with duck-fat roasted kipfler potatoes RM64

-yea.. it's raaaabit meat and i don't like it maybe because of using Bordeaux =P

Here comes my birthday "cake"
Pakistani mango pavlova with white chocolate & bitter lime rind RM24
- love the sweet Pakistani mango and pavlova bites

Summary: love the environment/decor plus a special menu/recipe which I never tasted before.

Nadeje Mille Crepe @ Melaka

Missing Nadeje mille crepe so much. After having Nadeje mille crepe two months ago, I found that Food Foundry in Section 17, Pj mille crepe cannot beat the rich, creamy taste of Nadeje's mille crepe. So happen yesterday I'm having 1 day working trip down to JB with my colleague, so we had swingby to Melaka just to have Nadeje and also buy back a few slice.

Nadeje had spread their business into 3 outlets within Melaka. 1. Plaza Mahkota 2. Mahkota Parade 3. Jaya 99 (new building) We went to the outlet in Plaza Mahkota due to convenient for parking instead of going into shopping mall and search up and down to park our car ^^.

Look, Yvonne is overwhelmed when she see all the mille crepe!
There's lotsa flavours, from green tea, to chocolate, strawberry, rum and raisin, but the most unforgettable still the ORIGINAL!
A slice of mille crepe is selling at RM9 and whole cake is RM90 and it can be cut into 12pieces. They do offer illy coffee as well and it's just RM6.90! Indulge the rich and creamy Original mille crepe can easily blown you away, wheee~~~~ lolx
We just can't stop admiring the mille crepe before eating it ^^.
Yvonne had a Iced Mocha @ RM8.90

Best thing about Nadeje besides loving their mille crepe is that, they do not charge service fee or tax!

Fresca Mexican Kitchen @ The Gardens

Last week, Yvonne, Roger and I went to Fresca and it's a new Mexican restaurant in town and it's really something niche in the market.

Fresca is located next to Han Room in The Gardens and they had took over the lots from M Concept store.
Fresca can accomodate approx. 100pax with the huge area they have
They also do have a room to cater for a smaller function sitting approx. 40pax
Fresca means fresh in Mexican so Fresca serves you only the fresh ingredients and the best in town!
With the recommendation of Meng Jan(the owner) we had our beverages of Hibiscus(taste a little sourish), Horchata(taste like coconut), Mango
We also had a few tapas for sharing which is Chille Rellenous @ RM30, it's a green pepper bell stuff with some rice and after baked, the taste is good and not as bad as I thought it was by it's look hahaha.. love the sauce accompanied with it.
Tacos Ensenada @ RM19.00, it's a wrap with vegetables and fish fillet
Camarones al Ajillo @ RM24.00, shrimp in olive oil and also it comes with something like tori prata, you can do your own wrap or anyway you wish to enjoys it and I had it like a bread and dip with the olive oil from the shrimp
Hongos Rellenous @ RM18.00, bruschetta with creamy mushroom, love the taste of it
Calamari Fritos @ RM15.00, love the sauce they had for the fried squid, it's a perfect match!
Even what we had order is not a lot but it's so filling. And for the finale, we had dessert which is Churros con Chocolat @ RM13.00, their churros is really taste authentic and it's crunchy and the best part of this, their chocolate dip is chilled, a perfect blend for a warm churros with chilled chocolate.
Roger had a Flan de la casa @ RM14.00, I don't really fancy flan but Roger does and there's a juice to cleanse your mouth after eating the sweet flan.

Our total bill after 10% discount by Meng Jan is RM166.50
