iL-Lido Italian Fine Dining @ Jln Yap Kwan Seng KL

Il-Lido promises an all inclusive, stylish environment that is compliment by its impeccablecuisine and touch of warm, customer relationship service.

Was having a morning meeting last week and after meeting it was lunch time and while heading to the next meeting we passby iL-Lido along the way, so we just swingby for lunch. And of course I was surprised to have fine dining during lunch hour but well... we were there.

It was a stand alone building, where downstairs it's a slot machine place and upstairs is iL-Lido. As usual a fine dining place decor will be a whoaaaaa.... due to quietness, but lucky there is a few tables with some business people dining there as well, so we didn't feel akward =P
Once seated, as usual you will be ask, "Hi Ma'am, coffee, tea, sparkling water or still water" and to save money sure still water la hahahaha... and after they will serve you their house made specialty bread and it was really yummy! having too much bread in the begining will only kill us before main course to be serve >.<
Soon, the appetizer is served which is the tiny miny Salmon Roulette, it was salmon wrap vege, and the taste hmmm ok la..
We had ordered a set lunch which is 4-course, and some of the dish we have different types so that we could try more varieties. And here comes the Onion Soup with Croutons, the aroma and every spoon you tasted it was out of words, the taste is just undescribable where the rich aroma of onion and it even taste differently when you add in the crispy thin layer garlic bread.
The other item of the 2nd course is the Fish Cake with Tomato Puree and Avocado Puree. I found that a bit too dry for this dish and nothing much to shout =P
After the appetizer and 2nd course with losta bread, we were actually FULL!! but we still have to eat our main course right?! and you also would likes to know what they have right? And here comes the manager Beppe sending his regards and also doing his PR with us haha..
ok..let's continue since Beppe left haha... we got Sea Bass with eggplant Caviar and Taggiacha Sauce for main course and I wonder how they grill the fish skin till it was so crispy ^^
The other main course is the Glazed Pork Belly serve with Mash Potato, there's is not much fats in it and again the pork skin is so so crispy even after you left it for 10mins, how awesome is that haha...
We starts burping after all what we ate and here comes the dessert which is Tiramisu, every bite give you different experience, whereby the Tiramisu taste bitter with the liquor and when you pair with a raspberry the taste just goes wow...
We were served with dark chocolate, milk chocolate and ummm cookies?! the dark chocolate it's soooo bitter and the white chocolate it's too milky and the cookies... ummm not good hahaha

Summary: Rating 9/10

The dining experience is good, and the food is really unexpected

Wonder how much is the total bill for a set lunch?? only RM138! haha... where else you can have fine dining with this kind of price?! So book now or bring your client for a unexpected dining experience ;)

Well, if you weren't lead by a local Kepong fella, you will not explore a shop which just looks normal like this
It was a cold night a few weeks ago, and it come across to have some soupy stuff like.... the "lor pan mee" the taste was awesome and I love that they add in anchovies!!
And what else we can get here?? choices of porridge and I was craving for Century Egg Porridge and they serve it with crispy "yao char koay" which it's brings you more appetite to dine!
Chinese just love to order variety of dish on top of their main course, so had ordered additional ala-carte of fried Sui Kow, which I found it so-so only, but it's with prawn but just half of a prawn hahaha, claimed by the lady boss =P

KaKa Bah Kut Teh @ Kepong

was brought over to KaKa Bah Kut Teh after touring around from Menjalara and finally end up to Kepong, where this KaKa Bah Kut Teh it's famous. Was so pack when I was there. It just located opposite road of Kepong Carrefour

Their kitchen is rather busy with lotsa stove!
and of course with so much stove their food serve pretty fast which is good for a hungry ghost like me! hahaha

Ordered a dry bah kut teh, the ggravy is too watery, but the pork is tender enough with some chilli flakes
a vege as usual and nothing much to shout for this hahaha
they do have white rice or oily rice which I had gone for a oily rice, yum yum...
The main act of the night is the Bah Kut Teh with ribs and meats! don't really facy belly or other spare parts though hehe.. the soup it's pretty light compare to Klang's bkt, but it's good to have clear soup than a thick soup sometimes =)

Ok i curi this map from Kyspeaks hehe, it's convenient for you all to get to the location =)

Dome @ Ikano, Damansara

It looks like the chef in Ikano branch is better compare to Bangsar Village. As usual their bar counter it's full with coffee beans decor
They are running some promotions with CIMB card holder, whereby you will get a free coffee if you swipe using a CIMB credit card! this what I like bout freebies haha
I do not have a CIMB credit card, but I still gotta order a LARGE cappuccino! hehehe
Check out the ceiling... travel around the world with Dome!
As usual my favourite dish in Dome never change, which is the Chicken Mushroom Pie, and the puff it's soft and crispy.. I think this branch chef it's really good hehehe
another order it's the Oriental Chicken Salad and it doesn't taste that good, this is what I meant the best is stills Chicken Mushroom Pie hahaha

Ying Ker Lou @ The Gardens

It's not my first time dining in Ying ker Lou, the 1st time was in The Curve, where this is a Hakka Cuisine and I love their "lui cha" a lot which high in fiber!! yum yum..

They actually have the typical "lui cha" where consist of beans, peanut, "zha choy" and more and the typical "lui cha" comes with plain rice but normally I ordered their fried "lui cha" and normally we share it. it's only RM14.90
with some side dishes as well, and this time had tried on their fried luffa with tofu coz I crave for food with gravy this time hehe..
Needs some meat to go with too not just "lui cha" hahaha, had the steamed pork and it's too soft and if not mistaken this is for RM16.90 or RM19.90 whih I think over price

Pam had been spam me with the Nambawan blog post by some flogger out there and supposingly go makan with her but sadly she ditch me and go for a lunch appointment with others so I decided for a revenge, whereby I go myself with my lunch date as well! hmmmph! bluek hahahaha...

Anyway, got the address for Nambawan and saw the Jalan Old Klang Road, so I thought it's in OUG so I went but couldn't find and finally make a call to the owner and ask for direction and seems like they are not good in giving direction as well.

Luckily smart enough to use a Garmin! haha so make sure you have a GPS as the coordination as below or else I guarantee you will lost like me!
At first I thought it's some nice place but it's just a normal shop lot
and the look and feel it's pretty empty and looks like a under run restaurant but from my interior photo of this shop looks good but the impression when you are there it's so-so
Don't judge the book by it's cover coz the content of this book is unbelievable!
ordered a hainese ice coffee and the color of it looks plain but the taste is powerful! kao! nice!
from rumours and word of mouth that Nambawan pork burger is good and cheap which only RM6.90 and I must say this is really dam cheap coz the portion and the taste is so good and it was juicy! can't imgaine it's includes of fries
Additional item to try on is the charboiled pork belly and the charboiled taste is really no joke. tender and portion is huge again and the potato is nice too. it's just RM12.90
Something that makes us can't convenience our eye sight which is the price list and cod fish is only RM8.90 !!
